My personal experience with "Food Fix"

It was delightful Saturday afternoon at my home town, was getting ready for a Gokulastami evening. I was helping my mother in preparing sweet jaggery Seedai (rice flour balls) for festival. Everything happened as planned. I was very much enthusiastic about this and in a hurry to complete it before evening. Due to over enthusiasm, I over fried few batches of Seedai and then corrected subsequently. There were not much of difference in appearance, except that over fried sweet Seedai was darker. As and when preparation is done, I put them all in a container.

In the evening, after offering to the god we distributed the sweet Seedai to neighbours. After distribution only the dark portion of Seedai was left. We started eating it, that is when I realized the mistake. Everyone was dumbstruck. It was not only dark in colour, but also tastes burnt. Was worried what neighbours will say. Immediately calling bell rings "ting tong..", we see neighbour at the door. My heart started beating fast "lup tup lup tup.....". Opened the door and welcomed. First thing they said, it was yummy! I gave perplexed look. In my mind was thinking if she was making fun of me or really praising. My mother understood and said how cleverly I placed the Seedai's in the container, top of the container had good and tasty one while at the bottom had over fried dark Seedai. Luckily we were saved from embarrassment we had distributed the good one to neighbours.

Still my parents keep telling this and have a good laugh. Even when I look back, I feel like laughing and at the same time feel little embarrassed too.

Wish I had a app like TinyOwl which would have saved me from such a tense situation. TinyOwl is available for Android and iOS.
